ARound Words ("the app") is designed to be safe for children and does not collect any personal data.
Camera use: The app uses your device's camera to let you point at objects and learn their names. Camera images are analyzed entirely on your device, using Apple's on-device Vision framework and a bundled on-device machine learning model. Images are never saved, recorded, uploaded, or sent anywhere. Nothing leaves your device.
No data collection: The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information, usage data, or device data. It has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no way to identify you.
No analytics or advertising: The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind, and it does not use advertising identifiers.
No third parties: Because the app collects no data, none is shared with or sold to any third party.
Data stored on your device: The app saves your game progress, which words you've found, your hunt and practice progress, and your chosen language, only in your device's local app storage. This information stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. It is deleted if you delete the app.
Children's privacy: ARound Words is designed for use by children and complies with Apple's Kids Category requirements. Because the app collects no data of any kind, it does not collect personal information from children, in compliance with COPPA and similar regulations.
Changes to this policy: If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
