Associated Editor of the journal ESAIM: Control, Optimisation and Calculus of Variations (ESAIM: COCV).
My research interests are the following:
Optimal Control: In this field I focus mainly on second order optimality conditions and convergence of associated numerical algorithms for optimal control both of ordinary and partial differential equation. I also study average control problems with uncertainty in the parameters and impulsive control problems.
Mathematical Epidemiology: In this area I investigate, in particular, problems related to vector-borne diseases as dengue fever, Zika virus and Malaria. Recent interest include COVID-19 dynamics and control, and optimization of vaccination strategies.
Other recent research interests are Optimal Control on Networks and Reinforcement Learning related to Optimal Control.
