I am currently working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Oceanography at the University of Dhaka. I’m involved in a project identifying and forecasting Potential Fishing Zones (PZFs) in the Northern Bay of Bengal under the supervision of Mr. Mahmudul Hasan. Additionally, I’m working on a project exploring toxicity of methyl-mercury, guided by Dr. Habibullah-Al-Mamun.

The Department of Oceanography at the University of Dhaka collaborated with the Bangladesh Navy on multiple research expeditions in the Bay of Bengal. As one of the top students, I had the opportunity to participate in Expedition-3, where I actively contributed to data collection using a CTD profiler. I also gained hands-on experience in water sampling with Niskin bottles and sediment collection using a grab sampler. This expedition deeply inspired me to explore the complex interplay between seawater properties and marine ecosystems, fueling my passion for oceanographic research and environmental stewardship.
