I am currently an Assistant Professor of Organizational Economics (fixed-term) at the Faculty of Economics, Management and Social Sciences of the University of Cologne. Before this appointment, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the chair of Bernd Irlenbusch at the University of Cologne. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hamburg, conducting part of my doctoral research as a visiting student at the Berlin School of  Economics, the London School of Economics, and Harvard University. 

Originally trained as an aeronautical engineer, I worked as research engineer at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) before turning to economics. I am an Associated Member of the EconTribute: Markets & Public Policy research cluster (Universities of Bonn and Cologne) and a Member of the Center for Social and Economic Behavior (C-SEB) at the University of Cologne.
