You don't need any prior experience to join and dive with us, we shall support you with your own SCUBA journey. We also recognise that you may already hold a diving grade obtained through another club or training provider. We use a crossover chart that will be used to determine at what level you would join us with, you will then continue your journey with us.

You are ready to explore the underwater world. The try-a-dive will let you feel what it’s like to breathe and move underwater wearing Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA).
Your instructor will welcome you and introduce you to the SCUBA equipment you will use for the try-a-dive. Your instructor will help you put on the equipment and teach you some simple hand signals to communicate underwater. Everything is taken at your own speed and comfort level, you’ll have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Range of dives including 20m dives, 6m Rescue dives
The One Star Diver (equivalent to a Open-Water-Diver (OWD), or Ocean Diver) is your first Diver qualification it will prepare you for a range of dive experiences and includes some diver rescue skills from 6m. There are 15 online theory sessions and approximately six lessons in the pool before you repeat the practical exercises in open water, a minimum of six open water assessments are required to gain this qualification. This qualification includes rescue skills and reef/boat diving skills.
Minimum age is 18, you will learn at your pace and will be fully supported by our experienced instructors. A qualified One Star Diver can dive to a maximum depth of 20m

Includes E-learning materials, Club membership & insurance , pool sessions and sea tuition
Available to start from October to February (Training continues all season)
It is expected that this qualification will be achieved in the first dive season.
Buddy diving to 30m, Rescue dives from 10m
The Two Star Diver (equivalent to a Club Diver, Sports Diver and advanced open-water-diver with rescue skills). This is the grade you want to achieve and is perfect for UK and holiday diving, you can dive to a maximum depth of 30m, you can dive with other divers of the same grade and you are self-sufficient.
You can gain this qualification with:
• 20 Dives, logged in your dive log book (must demonstrate different types of experiences)
• Assessment on multiple skills at depth
• A Total of 10 hours underwater
As an Arnewood Diver you get complementary instruction.
Available from Jan
Dive Leader to 40m, Rescue dives from 20m
CMAS Two Star Diver (Equivalent to a BSAC Dive Leader and PADI Dive Master) has demonstrated leadership skills over a variety of dives, they are trained in decompression diving and have 50+ dives recorded, they will have demonstrated that they can lead a variety of dives including a night dive. They will have mastered the skill of recovering an unconscious diver from 20m and demonstrated first aid skills. As an Arnewood Diver you get complementary instruction supported by additional National Diving certificates in, Rescue Diver and Nitrox Diver.
A qualified Three Star Diver can dive to a maximum depth of 50m

Dive Supervisor
The Dive Supervisor, (equivalent to a BSAC Advanced Diver). They have significant diving experience and have demonstrated that they have the practical and theory knowledge to plan and execute any club expeditions.
