 I am currently an Assistant Professor of Statistics in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), Kanpur, India. I am the PI for the Spatial Statistics Research Group at IIT Kanpur.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Statistics in 2018 from the Department of Statistics, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, United States, under the supervision of Brian J. Reich and Ana-Maria Staicu. Before that, I completed my Bachelor of Statistics (B.Stat.) and Master of Statistics (M.Stat.) from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, in 2012 and 2014, respectively. After my Ph.D., I was a postdoctoral fellow of Statistics at the Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Science and Engineering (CEMSE) Division, at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. Besides, I have completed the Harvard BOK Higher Education Teaching Certificate course.

July 18, 2026: I joined the Editorial Board of Spatial Statistics!

July 17, 2026: Our paper "Neural Architectures for Amortized Bayesian Inference: Statistical Foundations and Empirical Assessments", a joint work with my IIT Kanpur BS-MS student Roy Shivam Ram Shreshtth and Gourab Mukherjee from the University of Southern California, got accepted for publication in the Special Issue on Recent Advances in Bayesian Statistics of the journal Statistics and Applications.

March 28, 2026: I presented an invited talk at the CDSDM conference at IIT Hyderabad. The slides of my talk are here.

March 27, 2026: Our paper "Reliability of a system subjected to a cumulative shock model with a change point", with Dheeraj Goyal (currently an Assistant Professor at IIITDM Kanchepuram), got accepted for publication in Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry.
