Hi! I'm Katherine Armstrong, founder of Armstrong Coaching
Many parents want their children to get their dream job, after attending a prestigious college, and excelling at a rigorous high school. And, I think it's safe to say, all parents want their children to be healthy, happy and well rounded. But to achieve both can feel impossible.
I work with parents and students, so the whole family is aligned and working together. I guide students towards discovering their true selves, while challenging them to step out of their comfort zone and make an impact on their community.
Coaching Experience: I began tutoring elementary school students in high school, worked for the writing center in college, and continued working with students after starting my professional life in People Operations. I've mentored many students on the precipice of finding their first job, applying to college, and trying to decide which high school is the best fit.
Education: At Convent of the Sacred Hearth High School, in San Francisco, I was accepted to Dartmouth early decision. While I excelled academically, the long winters weren't a good fit for my "solar powered" personality, so I transferred to the University of San Francisco. I graduated early, summa cum laude, with a degree in Environmental studies.
Corporate Experience: I am an HR Program Manager at Google, by way of high growth startups (Thumbtack, Samsara, Autodesk, UrbanSitter), Community contributions: Women@SFO Career Development Lead, Bay Area Remote Googlers, StartupExperts
The Whole Person: I'm a San Francisco native, gluten free baker, and I live in the Richmond district of San Francisco with my husband and our dog Lucy
