If you want a wired headset for gaming and music production, choose Armor3 Universal Gaming Headset; if you need an audio-only replacement tube for a compatible two-way radio, choose SVXSODA Universal Surveillance Tube. The Armor3 is the more relevant option for listening and speaking through a gaming device, while the SVXSODA serves a much narrower radio-accessory role.
Armor3 Universal Gaming Headset vs SVXSODA Universal Surveillance Tube at a Glance
• SVXSODA Universal Surveillance Tube: Its coiled acoustic tube is designed as an audio-only replacement for compatible two-way radio headsets; it is not a complete gaming headset or a microphone-equipped music headset.
• Choose Armor3 if you want a headset with a microphone for compatible gaming devices, or need a straightforward wired listening option.
• Choose SVXSODA if you already use a compatible two-way radio headset and need a replacement audio tube.
• For music production, neither sheet specifies studio monitoring features, but Armor3 is the closer fit because it is a headset with a 3.5 mm audio connection, not a radio replacement part.
Armor3 is a wired, on-ear gaming headset with a 3.5 mm audio connection. It is listed as compatible with Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Wii U, Mac, PC, and other compatible gaming devices. The product information also mentions Xbox 360 and PC use through an included splitter, though compatibility and functionality can vary by device. If you are buying it for a specific console or computer, check that device’s connection requirements rather than assuming every setup works the same way.
The four-foot cable gives you a direct connection without relying on wireless pairing. Its inline controls provide a quick way to adjust volume and switch the microphone off. That makes it a practical format for gaming sessions where you want to speak to teammates but also want a physical mute control within reach. The listed design is on-ear, with a plastic enclosure and a tactical style. Those details point to a gaming-focused headset rather than a compact in-ear accessory.
For someone searching for with microphone bluetooth earbuds for music production, there is an important mismatch: Armor3 has a microphone, but the listed connection is wired, not Bluetooth, and its form is an on-ear headset rather than earbuds. It may be the more useful of these two products for listening while working at a computer, but the sheet does not specify studio-oriented sound characteristics or production features. I would not treat it as a dedicated reference-monitoring headset based on the available details alone.

SVXSODA is a replacement acoustic audio tube for two-way radio headsets, with compatibility listed for brands including Motorola, Kenwood, Icom, Vertex, and others. The key distinction is that this is an audio-only replacement component, not a complete headset. It is intended for a radio setup that already uses a compatible headset connection, so it is not a standalone option for connecting directly to a gaming console or computer for music listening.
Its coiled cable is designed to extend and retract as the wearer moves. The product description presents that arrangement as useful in dynamic settings, where a straight cable might be less convenient. A twist-on connector attaches to the radio headset plug, so buyers should verify that their existing equipment uses a compatible connection before choosing this replacement. The in-ear design and mushroom-style tip are meant to sit securely in the ear, while the soft PVC material is described as suitable for extended wear.
Its role is to carry audio through a compatible radio headset, not to provide the full listening and communication functions of a gaming headset. The product title refers to a ten-pack, while the product information lists one item; because those details conflict, confirm the package contents before relying on a particular quantity.
Who should skip it: Skip SVXSODA if you need a complete headset, a microphone for gaming or calls, or headphones for music production.
• Best fit for compatible console or computer gaming → Armor3 Universal Gaming Headset. Its listed compatibility includes several consoles, Mac, PC, and other devices with a suitable 3.5 mm connection.
• Best fit for replacing a radio audio tube → SVXSODA Universal Surveillance Tube. It is designed for compatible two-way radio headset systems, not general-purpose headphone use.
• Need a microphone → Armor3. It includes a microphone and a switch to turn that microphone off. The SVXSODA listing describes an audio-only replacement tube.
• Want an inline volume control → Armor3. Its cable has volume control as well as a microphone on/off switch.
• Need a coiled cable that can extend and retract → SVXSODA. Its center-coiled design is made for movement around a compatible radio setup.
• Prefer an on-ear headset rather than an in-ear tube → Armor3. SVXSODA uses an in-ear mushroom-style tip; Armor3 is listed as on-ear.
• Looking for the best gaming headphones for music production → Armor3 is the more relevant choice of these two, but with limits. It is a headset for compatible devices, while SVXSODA is a radio replacement part. Neither product sheet establishes studio-monitoring performance.
• Searching for the best noise cancelling clip on earbuds for music production → neither matches that description. Armor3 is an on-ear wired headset, and SVXSODA is an in-ear acoustic tube with no listed noise control.
My Verdict
Before buying Armor3, check how your intended device handles 3.5 mm audio and microphone connections. The headset is listed for a broad range of consoles and computers, but the product information notes that functionality may vary. PC use may require the included splitter, so confirm whether your computer’s ports and setup call for one. The four-foot cable is a fixed wired connection; it avoids wireless pairing, but it also means your listening position is limited by the cable’s reach.
For SVXSODA, compatibility is the first question. A familiar radio brand name alone may not be enough to confirm fit, since the replacement tube attaches by twisting its connector end cap into a compatible headset plug. Check the connection on your existing radio headset before ordering. Also remember that the listing identifies this as audio-only: do not assume the tube includes a microphone, radio, or complete headset.
Think about the type of listening you need, too. Armor3 provides a headset form with a microphone and volume control, but the available specifications do not describe frequency response, sound isolation, or other studio-focused details. SVXSODA has no listed noise control and is made for radio audio transmission rather than music playback. If your priority is music-production monitoring, neither sheet supplies enough technical detail to establish that either is designed for that job.
If purchase cost matters to your decision, check the current price on Amazon using the page’s price button. I would make the compatibility and intended-use checks first, though: a radio replacement tube cannot substitute for a gaming headset, and a gaming headset does not replace the tube in a compatible two-way radio system.
It is the more relevant of these two products for listening at a compatible computer because it is a wired headset with a 3.5 mm connection. The available details do not specify studio-monitoring performance, so they do not establish it as a dedicated production headset.
Does SVXSODA Universal Surveillance Tube include a microphone?
The product details describe it as an audio-only replacement tube and do not list a microphone. It is intended to work with a compatible two-way radio headset setup, rather than function as a complete headset by itself.
Armor3 is the clear match between these two: it has a microphone, a microphone on/off switch, and compatibility listed for multiple gaming devices. SVXSODA is a replacement audio tube for compatible radio headsets and is not presented as a gaming product.
No universal fit is established by the listed details. Compatibility is stated for several two-way radio brands, and the tube uses a twist-on connector, so check that your existing headset plug matches before choosing it.
