Note The camera must have its own mobile number and be equipped with the relevant 'Streaming Camera' SFO before it can be used. Transfer to Telesales via CTI to add a new line of service.

To set up your camera, you need:

  • A SIM card that is activated and put into the camera

It's worth noting that a SIM card is usually pre-installed.

  • Access to an Internet-connected computer or smartphone

Note : The Arlo app is necessary for cellphones and is accessible for download from the Google Play and Apple App stores. The following are the criteria for a smartphone:

  • iOS 8 or later

  • Android 4.1 or later

For computers, supported browers are:

  • Internet Explorer 10 or later

  • Microsoft Edge

  • Firefox 3.5 or later

  • Safari 3 or later

  • Chrome (latest version)

  1. Insert the battery on your Arlo Device.

Even if the camera is attached to a power source, it is advised that the battery be installed.

2. Start the Arlo app on your phone or go to the Arlo admin site in a browser.

3. Do one of the following:

  • Tap or click New to Arlo if you're creating a new Arlo account.

  • If you already have an Arlo account, log in with your username and password, then tap or click Add Device.

4. Arlo Go can be tapped or clicked.

5. Continue tapping or clicking to confirm SIM activation (at the bottom).

6. Tap or click Skip This Step from the APN Info screen (at the bottom).

7. For 2 seconds, press and hold the Sync button (on the top edge), then release.

8. Tap or select Continue from the How To Sync screen.

9. Aim your camera lens 4–8 inches in front of the QR code on the screen until you hear a chime.

10. If you hear a chime, tap or click it. Yes, there was a chime.

  • Allow the app or website to discover your camera and display the Claim Your Device screen for a few seconds.

  • If you didn't hear the chime, tap or click Back, then repeat steps 7 through 10.

11. Enter the location, desired camera name, and time zone on the Claim Your Device screen, then tap or click Next.

12. After entering your account information, touch or click Next.

13. Choose the desired service plan from the Select a Plan screen.
