It's the oldest, largest, and most prestigious fraternity in the world. We're kind of like a civic club, charitable institution, and fraternity - all rolled into one. Masons do a lot of community and statewide projects and give nearly $1.5 million to charity everyday. Most importantly, Freemasonry is a fraternity for men that bring men of good morals and ethics together in our community.
To promote a way of life that binds like-minded men in a worldwide brotherhood that transcends all religious, ethical, cultural, social, and educational differences; by teaching the great principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth; and by the outward expression of these through its fellowship, its compassion and its concern, to find ways in which to serve God, family, country, neighbors, and self.
We support each other and our families as brothers in fraternity. We promote good relationships and strong family values. We build friendships with other Masons around the world. We also support and help others through charitable work. Most of the $1.5 million that Freemasons give to charity daily goes toward helping children. We also teach leadership skills and help men lead an ethics-based life.
You get more out of Freemasonry than you put into it.
Masons come from all walks of life and share a special bond with each other. Aside from a sense of belonging to an organization that exists all over the world, Masons have a lot of pride for being part of such a great heritage. And, Freemasonry promotes an ethical lifestyle in which each man can think for himself and form lifelong friendships.Â
