4 x Quarter Final matches
2 x Semi Final matches
The Final
Each match is judged by YouTube's best Ark builders. These YouTubers have years of experience and thousands of subscribers!
You must not leave the building zone during the match.
You may exploit the building mechanics of ark (raising and lowering foundations, double/triple walls etc.) but must not exploit the game mechanics such as meshing.
You can only use the building supplies found in the build vault you will find in your building zone.
You can practice your build on single player if you wish.
You must not share pictures or footage of your build before the match is published on YouTube.
Failure to follow these rules may lead to disqualification.
Each match will have a building zone chosen based on the Design Brief assigned to the match. The Building zone consists of battlements or metal spike walls that will restrict the building area available and along with towers protect the competitors from wild Dinos. Competitors are not allowed out of their building zone during the course of the match.
Each Match will have a Design Brief. The Design Brief is what you should design your build to meet. An example of a Design Brief might be...
"An on the beach modern house for a surfer who often has his/her 4 friends staying"
Each match follows the same structure.
Each competitor is given the same location, resources, time to build and design brief.
Once the time is up the builds are judged out of 10 according to the following criteria:
Build accuracy (how well does it meet the design brief?)
Build quality (how well do the parts join? Are there any obvious mistakes?)
External decoration and detailing
Internal decoration and detailing
Local impact (how well has the build incorporated the location?)
The competitor receives the match pack. This contains:
The Design Brief
The server information (Name, password)
The location on the map.
A list of resources provided.
