President Baker Merris and rookie Henry Roan have been voted players of the week by their teammates for their performances against K-State the weekend of 9/20-21
Roan was dominant in his second start for the Hogs going a full 7 innings with 11 strikeouts and surrendering just one earned run!
Merris seems to be finding his swing again as the former All-American went 6 for 9 with 3 singles, 2 doubles, and 7 RBI's, and not to mention a GRAND SLAM!!!
The Hogs look to keep the momentum going against the UNT Mean Green this weekend at home, Springdale High School! Be sure to tune into the livestreams to not miss out on any of the action!
9/23/25
The Arkansas Club Baseball team was on the road, taking on the K-State Wildcats in Manhattan, KS this past weekend. Taking the series 2-1!
Henry Roan dominated throwing 7 innings, striking out 11 and only surrendering 1 run! At the plate, president Baker Merris and Diego Resendez led the offense with both going 3 for 4 and the Hogs gathered 13 hits as a team! Bringing the game 1 win to a score of 7-1!
Third yet veteran Cannon Kelley had a rough day on the mound, giving up a baffling 7 earned of 13 total runs. A highly uncharacterisitc outing from the usual ace who looks to bounce back in preperation for the spring season. At the plate, the Hogs were held to relatively low production of just 3 runs with Merris and rookie Preston Amsden accoutning for most of the offense with both going 2 for 3 in a 3-13 loss.
The rubber match on Sunday was a one-sided thrashing by the Hogs with the stat line sitting at 7 hits, 12 RBI's, 8 walks, and a GRAND SLAM by the president! Diego Resendez blanked the Wildcats tossing 4 innings and nabbing 4 strikeouts on the day!
Arkansas Club Baseball will return home to Springdale High School to take on the North Texas Mean Green! The Hogs currently hold a record of 5 - 1 against UNT and look to snag another series against a strong D1 team!

Arkansas Club Baseball opened their fall season against longtime local opponent John Brown University this past weekend. Taking the doubleheader with a dominant run differential of 23 - 3!
Veteran junior Cannon Kelley started game 1 going a commanding 5 innings with 9 strikeouts while only giving up 3 runs for the entire game. At the dish, rookie Preston Amsden and veteran Jace Riggs led the offense each going 1 for 4, Amsden with a single and Riggs with a double. The final score would end with an Arkansas win 12 - 3.
Game 2 was even better with rookie Henry Roan making his club debut tossing 3 strong innings and racking up 6 K's while giving up zero hits or runs! Veteran Diego Resendez would be relieve Roan with 1 inning of work also surrendering no hits. The bats came alive for game 2 with newcomer James Tate, rookies Lane Caldwell, Amsden, and Michael Toomey all going at least 1 or 2 for 3. Lane Caldwell led the charge with a single and a triple while also netting himself 2 RBI's. Transfer player James Tate finished the day going 2 for 2 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 walk, and crossing home 3 times himself to put the nail in the coffin over JBU.
President Baker Merris is off to a great start as the new club president with a 2-0 record and looks to lead the Hogs as they take on conference rival Kansas State next weekend on the road in Manhattan, KS!
