Graduating - Spring 2025

Today's senior spotlight highlights Dylan Henson! Dylan will be graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and has been accepted to Franklin-Pierce University in Arizona where he will be pursuing his Doctorate in physcial therapy! Dylan is the 2nd of 3 seniors to walk this spring for club baseball. Below are some of his senior spotlight responses!
Q: Why did you choose to play club baseball?
A: I wanted to continue playing the game that I grew up loving after my high school career came to an end.
Q: Best/Most memorable moment in club ball?
A: Hitting four doubles and completing the sweep against Kansas and hanging out with the team on away trips.
Q: Any advice for those looking to join club baseball?
A: It’s a great way to meet new people and socialize through similar interests while also all working towards a common goal of winning games and being competitive. Your experience will be a reflection of the effort you put into the team.

Today's senior spotlight highlights Colin Lovelace! Colin will be graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems - Business Analytics! Colin is 1 of 3 seniors to walk this spring for club baseball. Below are some of his senior spotlight responses!
Q: Why did you choose to play club baseball?
A: I love this game and will play it until I can't anymore. I also have met many new friends that I hang out with now outside of the practice.
Q: Best/Most memorable moment in club ball?
A: Having one of my best seasons ever hitting over .400!
Q: Any advice for those looking to join club baseball?
A: Play hard and compete for your spot! In the end, have some fun and relax, you get to play the best sport in the world.

This past weekend, Arkansas Club Baseball travelled to Little Rock, Arkansas for their second consecutive appearance in the Great American Regional tournament.
Andrew Weidenfeller was the starter for game 1 versus University of Houston - Downtown tossing 4 innings, 2 K's, and giving up 4 runs. Blake Bridges went 2 for 4 at the plate with a single and a double. Ryan Collins, Dylan Henson, and Ryan Myers all went 1 for 4. The Hogs lost this game 4-5 and faced eliminiation going into Saturday for game 2.
For game 2, Cannon Kelley got his second post season start. He tossed a solid 3 innings before giving up 6 runs in the 4th, he sturck out 3 and gave up 5 hits. At the plate, the Hogs' bats fell silent getting no hit and only managing to score 2 runs for a final score of 2-11 via walks and fielding errors by UHD.
With these back to back losses, the club baseball season comes to a close for Arkansas Club Baseball. Over the next couple of weeks seniors that are graduating this spring will be highlighted in their senior spotlight! Additionally, Hall of Fame voting will commence as well with a potential announcement at a later date.
We appreciate every fan that has followed along this year and cannot wait to comeback next season!
