Box Bistro redefines container architecture through a contemporary hospitality experience that celebrates innovation, adaptability, and thoughtful design. Repurposed shipping containers are transformed into a striking restaurant with layered dining spaces, rooftop terraces, and seamless indoor-outdoor connections, creating an environment that is both visually distinctive and highly functional. Warm materials, generous glazing, and carefully planned circulation soften the industrial language of the structure while enhancing comfort and interaction. A Contemporary Container Retreat | Residential Design

Summit Box is a contemporary mountain retreat that explores the potential of modular architecture through a simple yet highly efficient spatial composition. Designed using two strategically positioned shipping containers, the residence responds to the natural terrain by separating the public and private zones across two levels, creating a dynamic living experience that embraces the surrounding landscape.

The upper container accommodates the living, dining, and kitchen spaces, extending onto a generous outdoor terrace that serves as the heart of the home. An open staircase leads to the lower level, where a private bedroom suite is carefully positioned for greater intimacy and uninterrupted views. The roof of the lower container seamlessly transforms into the terrace for the upper level, maximizing outdoor living while reinforcing the layered relationship between architecture and topography.

Large glazed openings, warm natural materials, and carefully framed views dissolve the boundary between indoors and outdoors, allowing the surrounding mountains to become an integral part of the living experience. Summit Box reflects Arka Karya Studio's vision for contemporary modular design—where simplicity, sustainability, and thoughtful planning come together to create architecture that is both functional and deeply connected to its environment.
