About me

I am currently a PhD researcher at the Centre for Digital Music, Queen Mary University of London, under the supervision of Dr. Emmanouil Benetos, Dr. Dan Stowell, and Dr. Helen Bear.

My current research area is computational analysis of sound scenes and events. I am highly motivated by the idea that sound signals contain a lot of useful information other than the audio contents within it. In particular, I focus on classification, segmentation, and sequence modelling of polyphonic sound events using machine learning algorithms.

I have previously worked as project associate at MANAS Lab in Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi on multi-modal classification of birds under the supervision of Dr. Padmanabhan Rajan and Dr. Arnav Bhavsar.
