Job Description: UOEEE is seeking a Management Information Analyst to assist in developing, evaluating and analyzing information for management and procedural decisions. Under general supervision, this position coordinates institutional assessment initiatives; supports the development and use of assessment platforms, tools and resources; delivers training and support; and contributes to a positive culture of assessment at ASU. This position reports to the University Office of Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness (UOEEE) Associate Director of Assessment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated to investigate patterns and trends in assessment data to develop reports and improve training resources for faculty and staff.

Position Title: Sr Planning Analyst

Job Description: Under general direction, performs advanced forecast/planning analyses, constructs models, and conducts studies in support of ASUs enrollment management, financial aid planning, academic planning, strategic planning and budget planning efforts. Position Title: Sr Planning Analyst

Location: Tempe Campus

Job Description: Under the supervision of the vice president for enterprise planning, the incumbent will construct models, develop forecasts, and produce analyses that help senior leaders, including the president of the university, make decisions concerning the ASU Public Enterprise. As part of those responsibilities, the planning analyst will also collaborate with operating units by providing technical assistance, guidance, and recommendations related to financial planning and analysis.

The emphasis of this work is on explaining financial impacts of decisions. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for analysis of, and advice on, issues related to enrollment, tuition and fees, and financial aid, and the financial impacts (e.g., changes in revenues and expenditures) thereof. The incumbent will produce analysis used for policy decisions made by the president of the university and the Arizona Board of Regents and will function as the coordinator of ASU’s processes for setting tuition and fees. The analyst will communicate analytical results through memos, presentations, data visualizations, and white papers. When done well, this work will expand ASU’s impact consistent with the ASU Charter and our mission of demonstrating leadership in enabling academic excellence and accessibility at scale.

Position Title: Sr Planning Analyst

Job Description:  This position will collaborate with the director of research and intelligence and others in the Office of Enterprise Planning on efforts to 1.) monitor and analyze the finances and operating strategies of corporations, universities, governments, and foundations, 2.) analyze information and produce actionable strategic insights about technologies and industries, and 3.) assist in the due diligence process for potential strategic partnerships and mergers/acquisitions, 4.) conduct research to inform procurement, product/service development, and other management decisions. 

The incumbent will be responsible for accessing, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing quantitative and qualitative data from sources such as financial filings, published news stories, social media, published interviews, patents, public records requests, and externally-created administrative datasets. The analyst will communicate analytical results through memos, presentations, data visualizations, and white papers.

Position Title: Management Intern

Location: Tempe Campus

Job Description: The Office of Enterprise Planning is seeking professional-level project coordination and office management support to assist with major initiatives, research and analysis, and unit administration. The management intern will collaborate with the vice president for enterprise planning, the senior director of enterprise planning, and planning analysts to gain working knowledge and experience in how public enterprises develop and manage resources, create and implement strategic plans, communicate complex data to diverse constituencies, and organize and manage teams.

The Office of Enterprise Planning helps the ASU Enterprise to make better decisions. Serving ASU’s President, the office is responsible for integrating all plans across the ASU Public Enterprise to enable strategic decisions and support investments that advance the ASU Charter, operating with a long-term horizon. This work is accomplished through close collaboration with units across the ASU Enterprise to understand emerging needs, create plans, and monitor on execution of those plans. It requires our Enterprise Planning team to produce sound analyses, communicate effectively, and think probabilistically.
