When you register or sign in, we may collect:

User Role (Admin/User)
This information is used to identify users and provide library services securely.
Arividam uses Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In to securely authenticate users. Authentication credentials are managed by Google Firebase and are not stored directly by the application.
The application requests Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) permission to enable voice-based commands such as searching books, adding books, and interacting with the voice assistant.
Voice input is processed only to perform the requested action and is not permanently stored by Arividam.
The application requests Camera (CAMERA) permission for:
OCR scanning of book covers and title pages
Library register scanning
Digital Member ID QR code scanning
Captured images are processed only for the requested feature and are not retained unless explicitly saved by the user.
Storage permission may be requested to:
Import Excel files into the library catalog
Export reports and library data as Excel files
The collected information is used to:
Authenticate users securely
Manage library inventory
Process borrowing and return requests
Maintain user accounts
Generate reports and statistics
Synchronize data with Firebase Firestore
Improve application performance and user experience
Arividam uses trusted third-party services, including:

User information is retained only for as long as necessary to provide library services or comply with legal obligations.
Library administrators may remove user accounts and associated records according to their library policies.
Arividam is not specifically intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information, they may contact us for its removal.
Users have the right to:
Access & Identity: The right to a secure personal account and a unique Digital Member ID (QR Code).
Information: The right to browse the full library catalog, check book availability, and search using Voice or Text.
Participation: The right to request borrowing of books and receive real-time notifications on approval status.
Content Control: The right to post book reviews/ratings and the right to delete your own reviews at any time.
Administrative Authority (Admins Only): The right to manage inventory (add/edit/delete books), process borrow requests, and export data to Excel.
Account and Data Deletion: Users have the right to request the deletion of their account and all associated data.
To request deletion, please email us at arividam.support@gmail.com. We will process your request within 7 business days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be posted within the application or on the official Privacy Policy page. The updated policy will include a revised Effective Date.
