Two of the major themes of my research has been:
(1) Understand emergent phenomena in deep learning models in controlled settings. In particular, we have a series of projects involving modular arithmetic setups.
(2) Establish intrinsic dimension evaluation standards through manifolds well known in quantum information literature.
