About Us

Government Secondary School is located in the middle of the Old Historic Silk Route which used to connect Sikkim with Tibet. It was established in the year 1946. It is a coeducational institution. The school runs under the Department of Education, Government of Sikkim.

Students from different walks of life come to receive education in this institution. The school not only caters its service to the students in and around the village of Aritar but also to students from West Bengal as the school is located very near to the State Border.

The school provides free education to all the students. Apart from scholastic, different co-scholastic activities are also conducted to bring overall development in the students. This school is upto the 10th standard.

The school aims at igniting, empowering and educating students and bring about an overall improvement in quality of life in the contemporary society.
