ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL AFFAIRS COUNCIL

Officially created as one of the general assemblies, ECOFIN or Economical and Financial Committee is also known as Second Committee. Since its first meeting in San Francisco on April 25th, 1945, ECOFIN has helped many developing countries with financial assistance in times of crisis and development. It has a total representation of 193 member states and aims to lower poverty and decrease economic strain on countries facing large amounts of debt or countries that require financial reconstructing.
