Welcome
I am a Makerspace Librarian with the St. Mary's County Library, where I am helping the library develop the newly launched makerspace at Lexington Park Library and running STEAM programs aimed at improving digital literacy, critical thinking, and community engagement.
Before starting at the library, I was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at St. Mary's College of Maryland. I taught a variety of courses including courses on Data Science, Database Management Systems, Game Design, and Bioinformatics, was on the committee to design the new Data Science curriculum, and was co-PI on an NSF Funded REU.
I have experience working both in the private sector as a programmer/analyst at Pango Technologies and for the federal government as a Data Scientist with the U.S. Forest Service.
I received my master's in computer science from the University of Victoria in 2016. I graduated magna cum laude from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 2012.
