Research

Currently I am focused on the documentation and description of a Quechuan language called Northern Pastaza Kichwa, a variety of Amazonian Kichwa spoken in eastern Ecuador.

You can find my collections at The Archive of the Indigenous Language of the Americas and the Archivo de lenguas, culturas, y memorias históricas del Ecuador.

In addition to Amazonian Kichwa I also collaborate with my friends and colleagues at the Andes and Amazon Field School on documenting two other indigenous languages of the Ecuadorian Amazon: Achuar-Shiwiar and Wao Tedeo.

Virtual Conference Presentations / Video Tutorials

With conferences being online these days, some of my recent presentations are pre-recorded. You can view them here.

I have also learned to use a number of useful programs and scripts such as Python, R, SayMore, ELAN, AntConc, and others. On occasion I create and upload video tutorials of a specific tasks that do not appear to have much in the way of online tutorials or guides.  Visit my YouTube channel to view them.
