How to Use Comics Live During a Wellness Conference in “Silent Mode”
Visual Reporting for Ayurveda conference
What Is Comics Live in Silent Mode?
During a recent Ayurveda conference in Genoa with therapist and yoga teacher Stefania Clementi, I used my format Comics Live in what I call Silent Mode.
In this format, participants do not see the drawings during the event. There is no projection, no screen, no visual interruption.
Instead, I create a real-time visual report that is delivered at the end of the conference.
This approach is particularly effective for:
Ayurveda conferences
Yoga workshops
Holistic health events
Wellness retreats
Coaching and personal development seminars
Comics Live in Silent Mode allows the audience to stay fully immersed in the speaker’s presence while still benefiting from powerful visual storytelling afterwards.
The Ayurveda Conference in Genoa: Key Highlights
The conference explored the foundations of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian science of life.
The word Ayurveda comes from Sanskrit:
Ayus = life
Veda = knowledge
Ayurveda teaches that:
Prevention is the foundation of health
Body and mind are interconnected
Disease is an attempt of the body to restore balance
Longevity means living in harmony with nature
Stefania Clementi explained the five elements — Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth — and how they form the three Doshas.
Vata (Air + Space)
Associated with movement, creativity and communication. In imbalance: anxiety, dryness, irregularity.
Pitta (Fire + Water)
Linked to digestion, transformation and ambition. In imbalance: inflammation, irritability, burnout.
Kapha (Water + Earth)
Connected to stability, structure and endurance. In imbalance: stagnation, heaviness, attachment.
A core Ayurvedic principle shared during the event was:
“Like increases like.”
Balance is restored by introducing the opposite quality.
The conference also emphasized the importance of digestive fire (Agni) — not only in processing food, but also emotions and life experiences.
Participants were guided through a practical Ayurvedic facial self-massage, grounding theory into embodied practice.
From Spoken Wisdom to Visual Report
While participants were fully engaged in listening and practicing, I was creating a structured visual synthesis of the Ayurveda conference.
Through symbols and metaphors, I translated:
Digestive fire into visual imagery
Balance into a scale
Kapha into fluid shapes
Vata into dynamic lines
Pitta into powerful fire symbols
This is not simple illustration. It is live visual note-taking and graphic recording for wellness events.
At the end, participants received a complete visual map of the conference — a tool to revisit key insights instantly.

Comics Live Is Not Always About Being Seen
Many people associate graphic recording or visual facilitation with live projection.
But for wellness conferences and holistic events, invisible visual support can be more powerful.
Silent Mode allows the speaker to shine fully. The audience remains present. And the content becomes a visual legacy.
In Genoa, Ayurveda was experienced in depth — and remembered through images.
That is the power of Comics Live for wellness professionals.
