One of my ambitions as a scientist is to make research findings accessible to non-expert audiences as much as academic ones. In fact, I believe that disseminating science is a catalyst for innovation and key to solve some of the thoughest challenges our society is facing - such as climate change and environmental pollution. I am a strong advocate for a better representation of women and other under-represented groups in STEM, and in particular in the geosciences.
More simly, I am just filled with joy when I see anyone, child or adult, getting excited when they grasp a new scientific concept. This is enough for me to strive to allow everyone to learn more about science.
