1. Introduction
Welcome to Aria (also known as אריאה) (“Aria,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Aria is a mobile application for parents, caregivers, and family members to log and share newborn and infant care information — including feeding, diapers, sleep, pumping, medicine, growth measurements, and notes — in real time within a private family group.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, your choices, and your rights. By using Aria, you agree to the practices described here.
If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to users of the Aria mobile application on iOS and Android (bundle identifier: com.aria.newborn).
Aria is intended for adults (parents, guardians, and caregivers). The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Information about a baby is entered and managed by adult account holders and authorized family members.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Account and profile information
When you create an account or sign in, we collect and store:
Email address
Display name
Profile photo URL (if provided via your sign-in provider or account)
Firebase user ID (unique account identifier)
Account creation and update timestamps
Sign-in methods supported:
Email and password (Firebase Authentication)
Google Sign-In
Sign in with Apple (iOS)
When you use Google or Apple Sign-In, those providers authenticate you and share certain profile details (such as name, email, and profile photo) with us through Firebase Authentication. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.
3.2 Family and membership information
If you create or join a family group, we collect:
Family name
Invite code (e.g., ARIA-XXXX)
Invite code expiration (if set)
Member list (user IDs)
Your role in the family: admin, caregiver, or viewer
Temporary access expiration (if applicable for temporary caregivers)
Notification preferences (reminder settings and quiet hours), synced to your family membership profile
3.3 Baby profile information
Information you enter about a baby may include:
Name
Date of birth
Gender (optional)
Birth weight
Notes
Profile photo (optional)
3.4 Care events and health-related logs
When you log care activities, we store event data that may include:
Event type
Examples of data stored
Feeding
Method (bottle, breastfeeding, pumping), amounts, duration, side, milk type, timestamps, notes
Diaper

Sleep
Start/end times, duration, nap/night, location, active session status, notes
Pumping

Medicine
Name, dose, unit, who gave it, next reminder time, notes
Growth
Weight, height, head circumference, source (home/doctor/clinic), notes
Notes
Free-text notes and tags (e.g., fever, doctor visit)
Each event also includes metadata such as who created it, when it occurred, and which baby it relates to.
Important: Aria is a personal care-tracking tool for families. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Data you enter may constitute sensitive health-related information about your child.
3.5 Photos and files
If you upload a baby profile photo:
The image is stored in Firebase Cloud Storage
Maximum file size: 5 MB
Only signed-in family members can view family photos; only admins and caregivers can upload or change baby photos
Photos are processed on your device and uploaded to our cloud storage. We do not use baby photos for advertising or marketing.
3.6 Information stored locally on your device
Aria stores certain preferences on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage), including:
Authentication session (so you stay signed in)
Last selected family ID
Theme preference (light, dark, or system)
Language preference (Hebrew or English)
These items remain on your device and are not uploaded as separate analytics data.
3.7 Device permissions
Aria may request the following permissions:
Permission
Purpose
Camera
Take a baby profile photo
Photo library / media access
Choose a baby profile photo
Notifications
Deliver local care reminders on your device
App Tracking Transparency (iOS only)
Ask whether we may use your device identifier for personalized advertising via Google AdMob
You can deny permissions; some features (photos, reminders, personalized ads) may not work fully without them.
3.8 Information we do not collect
Based on the current App version:
We do not run active third-party product analytics (the analytics module in the App is disabled by default and performs no tracking).
We do not send push notifications from our servers (reminders are scheduled locally on your device).
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide the App — create and manage your account, family groups, baby profiles, and care logs
Enable real-time sharing — sync data among authorized family members
Manage access control — enforce roles (admin, caregiver, viewer) and temporary caregiver access
Support invitations — generate and validate invite codes so others can join your family
Deliver reminders — schedule local notifications based on your preferences and logged events
Generate summaries — build in-app insights and doctor/clinic visit summaries that you choose to share
Show advertising — display banner ads through Google AdMob in native app builds
Maintain security — protect accounts and data through Firebase security rules and authentication
Respond to you — answer support requests sent to lironsh11@gmail.com
5. How Information Is Shared
5.1 Within your family group
Care data is private to your family. Only members of your family group — according to their assigned role — can access family, baby, and event data:
Admins — full management access
Caregivers — can add and edit their own events; can edit baby profiles
Viewers — read-only access
When you join a family via invite code, a Cloud Function adds you as a member. Before joining, the App may show a limited preview (family name, first baby name, and baby photo URL) — it does not expose events or member details.
5.2 When you choose to share outside the App
You may voluntarily share content using your device’s native Share feature, including:
Invite codes (to invite caregivers)
Doctor/clinic summaries (aggregated care statistics and notes you select)
Once shared through another app (Messages, WhatsApp, email, etc.), that content is governed by the recipient service’s privacy policy, not ours.
5.3 Service providers (third parties)
We use trusted third-party services to operate the App:
Provider
Role
Privacy information
Google Firebase
Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions
Google Sign-In
Optional authentication
Apple Sign-In
Optional authentication (iOS)
Google AdMob
Banner advertising
These providers process data on our behalf to deliver authentication, cloud hosting, and advertising. Firebase infrastructure may process and store data in data centers operated by Google, which may be located outside your country.
5.4 Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or Aria.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
6. Advertising and Tracking
6.1 Google AdMob
Native builds of Aria display banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and usage information to serve and measure ads.
On iOS, before ads are initialized, the App requests App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. If you allow tracking, AdMob may use your device identifier for personalized ads. If you deny tracking, you may still see ads, but they may be less relevant.
On Android, ad personalization is governed by Google’s advertising settings and applicable platform policies.
You can learn more and manage ad preferences at:
Google Ads Settings
6.2 Analytics
Aria includes an internal analytics framework that is turned off by default and currently operates as a no-op (it does not send data to any analytics provider). If we enable analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain your consent before collecting analytics data.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the App.
Account and family data remain stored until you or a family admin deletes them or requests deletion (see Section 9).
Local device data (theme, language, session) persists until you sign out, uninstall the App, or clear app data.
Scheduled local notifications are removed when cancelled or when the App clears them.
If you leave a family, an admin may remove your membership; you will lose access to that family’s data, but data you created may remain visible to remaining members according to their roles.
8. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in
Firestore Security Rules restricting data access to authenticated family members by role
Firebase Storage Rules restricting photo access to family members
Cloud Functions for secure invite/join flows that do not expose private family data to non-members
HTTPS/TLS for data in transit to Firebase services
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:
Access — request a copy of your personal data
Correction — update inaccurate information in the App (profile, baby details, events)
Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
Restriction or objection — object to certain processing
Data portability — request your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (e.g., iOS tracking permission)
How to exercise your rights
Email us at lironsh11@gmail.com with your request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and as required by applicable law.
In the App today:
You can edit your profile, baby profiles, and most events directly
You can sign out from Settings
A family admin can remove members from a family
There is currently no in-app “Delete Account” button; account deletion requests must be sent by email
iOS App Tracking
You can change your tracking preference at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iOS device.
Notifications
You can disable notification permissions in your device settings at any time. Care reminders will stop if permissions are denied.
10. International Data Transfers
Aria uses Google Firebase, which may store and process data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States and other countries where Google operates data centers.
Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers (such as standard contractual clauses offered by service providers).

Aria is designed for adult users who care for infants and newborns.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Information about babies is provided by adult account holders and authorized caregivers.

13. Third-Party Links and Services
When you use Share to send an invite code or doctor summary through another app, or when you interact with advertisements, you are subject to those third parties’ terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the App or by other appropriate means.
