In the properties of the project used to compile my engine I put (the path to) arena.exe in the command to execute when the debug is launched, and then, when debug is triggered and arena opened, I load in Arena a new engine corresponding to my engine, I put breakpoints in my code but each has a "no symbols loaded".

I play arena tournaments pretty much constantly and I don't think I've EVER seen one that concluded with 1st 2nd and 3rd place not being blatant cheaters. 600 elo accounts going undefeated with 95% accuracy level blatant lol. Is there any arena tourney that's even close to legit on chess.com? I don't like the Swiss format at all and it'd be cool to know how well you actually do in arena format.

I'm interested in implementing a chess engine for arena GUI Do you know some sort of information regarding the specific guidelines that you must follow in order to make the engine usable in Arena (ie so that you can actually import the engine from Arena).

Writing an engine that can be used in arena is really easy. Your engine simply need to read and write on the standards inputs and outputs stream (stdin and stdout). Your engine need to talk a specific protocol and you have the choice between the UCI protocal, that is easier to implement, but only supported by a couple on interface or the xBoard protocol that is supported by more interface both on Windows and Linux. e24fc04721
