There are actually several slightly different types of companies you might see proclaiming ‘We Buy Houses’ out there. The first are your regular local home buyers. They are typically direct real estate investors. They look to help people by buying their homes directly, fixing them up as needed, and then either rent them out, or pass them on to good families in need of a safe and affordable place to live. These people are your neighbors, one of the people you might have seen in your yoga class, or said hello to at your local Home Depot store on the weekend.
