He graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelors of science in kinesiology. In addition to his chiropractic degree, Francisco also received a bachelors in human anatomy and physiology, and a bachelors in health and wellness. He is passionate about human performance in all seasons of life. During Chiropractic school he was dedicated to becoming better for his future practice and served the community through many mission trips. Dr. Francisco is excited to serve his hometown to create change through education, empowerment, and health.

Students may join a Wellness Living Community where residents explore wellness in eight dimensions aligned with the LiveWell Lafayette program: emotional, environmental, intellectual, professional, physical, social, spiritual, and financial wellness. On these floors, students have opportunities to participate in special programming and create an environment where healthy choices are encouraged and supported which includes a substance-free lifestyle on the floor.

Upper-level wellness communities are located in Keefe Hall and Ramer Hall. Self-directed wellness houses are located on Monroe Street. Current students may apply through the room selection process every spring.

The 2023 Club Wellness Summit is designed for club wellness professionals and club leaders looking to learn more about all there is to offer in the world of wellness to their members. The Summit will include a Club Wellness Showcase featuring vendors and service providers to enhance your wellness offerings at your club.

Life is full of distractions, and a wellness community is designed to bring you back to the present moment, to assist you to live in the now. In fact, the Mindfulness studio at Amrit has programs to assist you to develop this skill. Learn how to still the mind, quiet the body and bring mindfulness into your every moment. There are constant opportunities to engage in meditative practices such as experiencing a sound bath, visiting the meditation garden, or dipping into a tranquility pool to help you refocus your thoughts on the present.

The revolutionary landscape and architecture design lends itself to more movement as it provides open spaces with fluid walkways. The on-site Amrit Easy Access Stair app offers notifications when a stairwell is nearby, in lieu of the elevator, helping you make small changes that can lead to a healthier overall lifestyle. Fitness becomes second nature when it integrates so easily into the culture of a wellness community.

Relaxation continues once inside your living quarters in a wellness community. Soak away stress in a perfectly drawn bath through the in-room service, enhanced with your select botanicals and aroma essences. Wind down with customized circadian lighting synced to you, allowing your body and mind to follow natural cues, inviting sleep, just on your horizon. Sheets are infused with your preferred aroma, pillows are presented in your desired firmness, all the subtle ques to gently invite deep, quality slumber.

Living in a health-focused supportive community like Amrit naturally inspires one towards personal wellness with all the tools and resources needed to continue the journey to a more healthy, happy, and fulfilling lifestyle.

The Wellness House (in Tingelstad) is a community of students who are interested in engaging in conversations and activities that promote and sustain healthy lifestyles. The House uses a holistic definition of Wellness centered on a Wellness Wheel with 6 dimensions: Emotional, Financial, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual (see below for definitions and end of page for references). With these 6 dimensions in mind, students collaborate to practice and think about wellness individually and as a community. This includes transitioning to college in a way that develops healthy habits around mindfulness, exercise, substance use, healthy eating, building community, time management, and mental health. The Wellness House fosters an environment of holistic wellness, encourages students to learn more about wellness, and supports students in achieving their wellness goals.

Longtime Colorado innovation leader Lisa Neal-Graves has been named CEO of the Aurora Wellness Community (AWC), a partnership between the CU Anschutz Medical Campus and the Aurora community that aims to improve access to primary care for underserved populations in Aurora. The center also will offer services to promote physical, mental, and financial well-being within the community, with a particular focus on housing, food security, generational care, community building, and connection.

Students and faculty members from across CU Anschutz, including the CU School of Medicine, will provide care at the AWC, which will be designed as a community-influenced health ecosystem. The center also will have a focus on wealth-building in the community through co-ops, small business accelerators, and other local entrepreneurship and ownership opportunities that foster community wealth. Its goal is to help turn Aurora into the healthiest and most economically viable city in the nation.

The Major R. Owens Health and Wellness Community Center represents the result of a many-step, collaborative effort between the city, local community representatives, and development partners, to see the opening of this incredible multi-purpose space at the service of Crown Heights and the greater Brooklyn community.

Located at the Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships, the Community Wellness HUB is a place where all are welcome for support with health and wellness concerns. The HUB offers a variety of clinical services, including no cost primary care for uninsured patients, free walk-in health screenings (rapid HIV testing, blood pressure, glucose, BMI and more), as well as behavioral health counseling on a sliding-scale fee. All of our clinical staff are full-time faculty here at Drexel University ready to provide quality and compassionate care in a safe, welcoming environment. In addition to the clinical services mentioned, the HUB also hosts a variety of programming for the community centered around various aspects of health and wellness.

The mission of the Community Wellness HUB is to HEAL the community through preventative care, UNITE the community around better health, and BRIDGE the community to health services and health education programming, while tackling the social determinants that underlie their health disparities.

In 2013, the J established Sharsheret Supports STL, a program of Nishmah, and a community partner of the national Sharsheret organization. Through personalized support and lifesaving education, this program has improved the lives of women and families living with or at increased genetic risk for breast or ovarian cancer.

The Hamsa Wellness Community will continue to be a partner of Sharsheret, providing access to all of the resources we always have had, with the added bonus of our own broadened community in the St. Louis region.

This virtual class builds community and creates a safe space from the comfort and privacy of your home. Incorporates additional breathwork, mindfulness meditation and visualization practices alongside the gentle and restorative poses and practices.
