I’m Ardra Hex, an artist living with my husband and children on a small farm in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember — what started as childhood drawing grew into a lifelong passion.
After experimenting with watercolor, I discovered pyrography when my mother-in-law gifted me a wood burner. I had no idea it would become my favorite tool. Combining wood burning with watercolor opened up an entirely new creative world, and I was hooked.
I’m deeply inspired by tarot and astrology, and that influence finds its way into many of my pieces — from zodiac keychains to tarot bags and other whimsical creations. Birds are my favorite subject to paint, and they appear often in my work as a reflection of my love for nature.
Whether I’m drawing, painting, burning, or sewing, creating is my safe space — and I’m grateful to share that space with others through my work.
