Personal life

Ardie is a family man. Brought up in Iran, he was the eldest son of two dedicated parents. His father was a major general in the Iranian army specialising in heavily artillery. Ardie went to University in the North East of England where he met his future wife Valerie. They have two children together Orod and Rostam who are both successful medical doctors and university lecturers. Valerie was the backbone of the family and inspired and motivated Ardie and his sons to be ambitious and have successful careers. She passed away prematurely in 2002 and is sorely missed by all.

Ardie spends his free time with his granddaughter Parisa and watching Leicester City football matches with his sons.
