I am a full professor of Computer Hardware and Systems at Boğaziçi University, Department of Computer Engineering. My research spans embedded systems, real-time systems, computer architecture, and high-level synthesis. I lead the Computer Architecture and Systems Laboratory (CASLAB).
After receiving my PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University, I worked in Kadir Has University as an Assistant Professor and took an active role in founding the Engineering Faculty of this university for two years. After being invited by the Computer Engineering Department, Boğaziçi University, I returned back home. I have authored over 70 peer-reviewed scholarly publications, including three book chapters in my research domain while holding a national patent on embedded systems. I also acted as IEEE Turkey Section Chair in 2009-2011. My current research interests include machine learning on resource-constrained devices, edge intelligence and intelligent environments.
