We visited Makunsar village, which is located near Palghar, Mumbai where we studied and documented types of houses and institutions present in the village. We documented the entire village and some of the houses in detail which were ideally owned by or had Elderly people living in the house as we were to design a Oldage home. We made site drawings, site models, cluster plans, documented some of the houses, by making plans, sections, elevations, mapping out daily routine of the elderly people, interviewing them about how do they spent their day, what was the duration of usage of particular spaces of the house and the village.
We made site contour models through CNC on plywood and further making details on it by using wooden blocks for both the models' context house blocks and laser cut for the houses that we studied in details. I was involved in working out CNC stuff for the contour models.
We studied some of the houses in detail in groups, the house that I was involved in documented was owned by Damodar Patil. I was involved in making Sections for the house, Sciography and mapping out the daily routine for the elderly members of the house.
I have also tried out mapping of the routine through the medium of animation
Mapping out the routine and interviewing the elderly was very important for me understand the type and designing the proposed oldage home
