We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated students to hire as Ph.D. scholars in the computational solid mechanics lab in the Department of mechanical engineering at IIT Kharagpur. The student will learn and develop nonlinear finite element models using higher-order shell theories and 3D continuum theories for soft biological structures for applications in cardiovascular mechanics. Qualifications & Experience:
Essential Qualification:
M. Tech or B. Tech with a valid GATE score in mechanical/civil/aerospace or related branches.
Desired Experience:
1. Good background knowledge of solid mechanics, finite element methods, and programming.
2. Good mathematical and programming knowledge will be preferred.
Tenure in Months: 24
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in conducting research experiments and data analysis.
2. Develop and implement finite element models for structural analysis.
3. Collaborate with the research team on project-related tasks.
4. Participate in workshops and conferences to present research findings.
5. Contribute to the preparation of research reports and publications.
