Parks and garden,
Case study- Kaifi Azmi park, Juhu
Kaifi Azmi Park in Juhu, Mumbai, is a public space created through community effort and careful planning. Once a dumping ground, the site was transformed into a functional park with a focus on ecology, health, and culture. The design integrates pathways, a jogging track, an amphitheatre, lawns, seating areas, and a mangrove zone. Circulation connects all parts smoothly through ramps, steps, and clear paths. Vegetation includes native trees, flowering plants, medicinal herbs, and mangroves near the wateredge, supporting biodiversity. Built forms like pavilions, retaining walls, and lighting structures serve practical needs without overpowering the natural elements.
