For more than a decade, Arcem Enterprises located at 121 Palindan, Ibaan, Batangas has been key player in the province of Batangas as a major supplier of construction materials. It is also a manufacturer of recycled plastic netbags primarily distributed to dealers in Divisoria, Manila. From 1989, with a starting capital of P500 thousand, its capital worth is now at P15 million.
All those years, the owner himself, Cesar Marasigan, had no idea that a personal battle against arthritis would lead to yet another profitable and social venture. A series of trips to UP Los Baños in 2009, at the Bureau of Plants of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) yielded many wonderful results that inspired him to share his discoveries by going into food production.
Thus Arcem Food Products was born. In 2010, it started to introduce an amazing line of health products with great market potentials, like “5 in 1 Coffee: Malunggay and Taheebo Plus,” “8 in 1 Coffee Herbs Plus,” “Malunggay Juice,” “Malunggay Tea,” “Malunggay Powder,” “Turmeric Powder,” “Turmeric Herb Plus Tea,” “Carrot Juice,” “Malunggay Noodles,” “Pansit Malunggay/Turmeric Plus” & other related food products with medicinal extract from locally grown herbal plants like Malunggay (Moringa), Lemon grass, Taheebo (Balbas Pusa), Sambong and Turmeric(Luyang Dilaw)
Arcem Food Products began to be featured on TV, aired on Radio, and showcased in major local and international food exhibitions with the help of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Organic Producers Traders Association of the Philippines (OPTA). Less than a year from its establishment, the Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) granted Arcem Food Products a license to operate as a food manufacturer with LTO No. CFRR-RIV-FM-3030 - a public assurance of its commitment to produce nutritious, healthy, no-preservative, and chemical-free food products.
