There are two types of of "tea": True teas and Herbal teas, (called tisanes). The true teas are all from the same plant: Camellia sinensis, which include green tea, white tea, black tea, and oolong tea. Tisanes, or Herbal teas are made from any other plants, flowers, bark, seed etc. True tea has varying amounts of caffeine, while herbal tea does not have caffeine.
Nutrition & Allergy Info: There is no sugar added to any Arbol tea blend. No artificial colors or flavors. Arbol tea blends are sugar-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegan, and in virtually all cases, contain zero calories (without adding milk & sugar). Brewed tea contains zero calories, however, blends which include fruit pieces may contain less than 10 calories for an 8oz cup. Blends with nut flavor have natural plant-based flavoring created without using any actual nuts . These teas do not contain any of the 9 major food allergens: peanut, tree nuts, soy, wheat, egg, cow’s milk, fish, shellfish, sesame. It is possible that some ingredients come from a source supplier that stores/ processes allergens within its facility.
My teas contain no ingredients that would make them unkosher or haram. To certify the teas as kosher or halal is not economically feasible for me at this time, so the blends are not kosher certified, but there's nothing in the tea blends that would render them not kosher or haram.
