images description: the top image portrays a white wall full of colorful drawing made mostly by my son, during his kindergarten artistic career. the bottom images are four single shots of some of the colorful drawings of the wall described above. each isolated drawing offers a link to a new webpage. each webpage, in turn, gives access to different works developed in academic practice. there is a page for articles, for books, for editorials and for miscellaneous publications.
the first drawing (left to right) is painted with felt tip pen, and portrays blue grass, a white-walled house with pencil-delineated bricks, a brown door and a pink roof. to the right and back of the drawing, there are more colorful, abstract elements, in green, yellow, pink, and purple. the image can be clicked on and offers a link to articles.
the second drawing (from left to right) consists of a frottage of maple tree leaves. frottage is french for rubbing, and in art it means rubbing a chalk or crayon over a piece of paper that, in turn, has a textured element under it. with this technique, the textured parts of the object under the paper (which in this case is a maple leave) are "painted into" the paper in lighter or darker color, depending on the thickness and hardness of each one of their parts. harder and thicker parts of objects tend to transfer into the paper in darker shades. softer, slender parts of objects, in contrast, are printed into the paper with almost no color or with no color at all. most of the drawing here described is left in the pencil-lead color of the pencil used for the frottage. the parts that were not filled with pencil lead, which are some segments of the leaves, are filled with red, pink, blue, green yellow and purple watercolor. the image offers a link to "book chapters"
the third painting from right to left is painted in felt tip pen and portrays a zoom in of a green house, with pink windows and a small rabbit drawn in pencil showing in one of them. there is a yellow sun with orange rays and a couple of blue clouds on top of the house. the image offers a link to "editorials".
the fourth art work (from left to right), shows a detail from a felt tip pen drawing on a white paper. the paper is filled with simple, but very colorful, drawings of people, animals, abstract lines and letters. the image offers a link to "other publications"
the last drawing is one of a tiger, in orange and black. stepping on a green grass, and under a blue stripe representing the sky and a yellow sun on the top left of the page.
