I am Arash Vahedgilani, a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Surrey. My research focuses on financial economics, with theoretical and empirical work on funding markets, especially securities lending and repo markets. My broader interests include macro-finance, general equilibrium theory, behavioral economics and finance, and pedagogical research. 

I hold an MRes in Economics from the University of Surrey and an MSc in Economics from the University of Tehran. Before moving into economics, I completed a BSc in Civil Engineering at the University of Tehran.

Alongside my research, I have taught economics at several universities. I have worked as a Part-Time Lecturer and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Surrey, a Visiting Graduate Teaching Assistant at City St George’s, University of London, an Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Tehran.
