Aranya Lahiri
I am currently a SEW visiting assistant professor in UC San Diego. My postdoc mentor is Prof Claus Sorensen. I will be in the job market this year.
I got my PhD from Indiana University, Bloomington under the guidance of Prof. Matthias Strauch.
My research interest broadly lies in p-adic local Langlands program. More specifically, I am interested in locally analytic representations of p-adic analytic Lie groups. Recently I am getting interested in finding a meaningful candidate for p-adic base change and questions of local-global compatibility. My newly budding mathematical curiosities include morphogenesis (formation of forms), it's applications in engineering and cognitive science and philosophy of mathematics.
I acknowledge that currently I live on land stolen by a genocidal regime from the Kumeyaay people (somehow it seems to me we are still stealing this land). There are genocides happening now as well, I would like to acknowledge those. And acknowledge them right now rather than fifty years later in an academic conference.
My Research Statement and CV can be found here.
