Ara Jo
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Ara Jo is assistant professor of Chemistry Department at Kangwon National University. She earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the Ewha Womans University in 2012 and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Ewha Womans University (Advisor: Chongmok Lee) for the work on Electrochemistry. From 2018 to 2019, She was a postdoctoral researcher at Korea Institute of Science and Technology (Hyun S. Park group). During this time, her research includes electrochemical energy material conversion. From 2019 to 2021, she joined Sossina M. Haile group at Northwestern University as a postdoctoral researcher where she studied ceramic and solid acid materials for electrochemical device. Her research interests include electrochemistry, nanomaterials, scanning probe electrochemical microscopy, biosensors, and renewable energy.
