Arabella Hartino is currently an English major and Legal Studies minor at Ithaca College. When she is not studying, she shows horses on the intercollegiate circuit through the Ithaca College Equestrian Team, co-hosts a punk radio show on 92 WICB, and performs with the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers. She has also been a dramaturg on the production team of Are the Bennet Girls Okay?: a staged reading of Act 1, directed by the Dean of Humanities and Sciences at Ithaca College.
Previously, Arabella was a liberal arts major in the Honors program at Monroe Community College, and transferred to Ithaca College following the completion of her associate degree and Advances Studies Certificate in 2025. After her baccalaureate she plans to pursue further education in law and humanities.
Arabella is a published author and enjoys writing immensely, with a focus on critical analysis essays, flash fiction, and introspective and socially conscious poetry. She has also had experience with journalism as a writer and editor of the Fair Focus, a youth-run newspaper that covered the events at the annual 4-H Youth Fair of Tompkins County.
An active member of her community, Arabella has been a volunteer at the OAR of Tompkins County, mentored the Makerspace and Robotics Club workshops at the Tompkins County Public Library, taught children how to work with horses, and assisted with exhibit processing and evaluations at the New York State Fair. She is also a proud 4-H alumnus, with experience in multiple teen leadership positions including club president of the Dryden Dragonflies, and Vice Chair (2019) and Chair (2020) of the Youth Fair Board. During her time as vice chair, she was selected as a Tompkins County delegate for the Capital Days award trip to Albany, NY, where she and fellow delegates from across the state toured the New York State Senate and Assembly chambers, as well as the Court of Appeals.
