We are 6th graders girls, we study in Alpes San Javier in Guadalajara, México. Our project is about augmented reality mixed with art and mathematics.
Renata Vargas
Hello my name is Renata Vargas Aguirre and I am 12 years old and I am student at the Alpes San Javier institute I am in 6th grade of primary school and very soon i will go to widdle school, I like sports and my favorite sport is basketball and swwiming, when I grow up I will be an architect like my mom and my dad they inspire me to never give up and always keed going. I am very imperactive and I like colors, my favorite one is purple and yellow. My expectation on ISTE is to meet people from other countries and also they be impressed by the work that my team, the teacher and I did.
Fátima Aguilar
My name is Fátima Paola Aguilar Garcia, I was born on may 29, 2010 in Guadalajara, Mexico. I am 12 years old. I am a 6th grade at the Colegio Instituto Alpes San Javier. I am Mexican and I live in Guadalajara, Jalisco. I really like golf and one of my hobbies is drawing, my favorite color is the purple, I also like the white. I like to spend time with my friends and with my family. I am good at writing, I am very creative and I like to decorate all the thing I have.
My expectation of ISTE is to be able to have fun but at the same time learn a lot with my classmates and my teacher.
Lucía Silva
My name is lucia silva, I was born on december 2, 2009 in Guadalajara Jalisco. Im currently in 6th grade, in a few months I will go to high school. When I grow up I want to be an integral designer or a lawyer although I have nothing defined, I like many things. I am a persevering girl, everything that I propose I achieve by fighting for him, and also an adventurous girl . At this moment I am 12 years old and at this moment of my life I have many goals, one of them is to go to the iste, when they told me that this year they had accepted my project, I was super happy and made them want to be able to achieve one of my dream of my bucket list, now that I'm in the process I'm very excited I don't know what to expect I feel like it's going to be incredible. Well ending the subject of ISTE at this time I feel nervous knowing that in a short time I went to high school or also at this moment that I am starting to go out with friends I feel a lot of insecurities which do not let me be me ...... but As a 12-year-old mature girl, I have been able to solve my problems.
Carmina Pineda
My name is Carmina Pineda, I am from Guadalajara, Mexico, I was born the 27 of November of 2009, I am 12 years old and I am currently study at the Alpes San Javier.
I like to play tennis learn languages. My favorite color is yellow, I have a bird, a dog and a lot of fishes. This year I started learning japanese, but I speak just a little bit. I look forward to meeting people from other countries, learning about there culture and tradicions. In this ISTE experience I expect to have fun, learn about a lot of things, explore new things, understand new things and a lot more, all that with my teachers, my family and my friends.
Leticia Becerra Teacher
I`m Leticia Becerra Sepúlveda, I´m from Guadalajara, Mexico and I teach math in the Alpes San Javier.
I´m passionate teacher about education and interested in the Maker / Steam methodology, with 8 years of experience. I am an Apple teacher, I have a certification in Attention Strategies for Diversity, a master's degree in Educational Innovation and a certification in Visible Thinking from Harvard University.I have participated in the Maker Faire Mexico 2019, interested in improving education based on problem solving from projects that generate social impact. Always encouraging students to develop 21st century skills for the future that we still don't know.

Our PURPOSE is to help people to differnence pieces of art based on mathematics using AR (AUGMENTED REALITY).

Research
We researched about painters and their painting techniques, also we investigate what is augmented reality and virtual reality. The diference between AR and VR is that AR uses a real world setting, while VR is completly virtual.
We researched what an algorithm is and its funtion. An algorithm is a set of instructions for solving a problem or accomplishing a task.

We meet Yunuen Esparza, she is a famouns mexican artist who use AR in her paintings. We asked her some questions about her profession. She created an app for her paintings. you need to use this app to interpretate the painting.

Features & classification
We clasiffied different paintings by their artistic current, the painter and we indentifed what math things were in each painting. We investigate further about Salvador Dalí, Claud Monet, Leonardo DaVinci, Joan Miro, Yayoi, Piet Mondrian, Jean Michel Basquiat, Vasili Kandinski, Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo and Paul Klee.
Our mind and ai
Miss Kim show us that our mind can identify things without knowing what is it and how we use this when programming AI. Sometimes the mind represents in images what we are feeling. AI behaves like our mind representing all of that without knowing and working like automatically.
CHALLENGEs
Lucía: When doing an ISTE project, I had many challenges with myself like being insecure about my job, maybe I didn´t fell confident speaking English maybe I had a hard time behaving seriously, but I was able to pass those challenges in a great way.
Carmina: Working on a ISTE project has many challenges. Some of them are identifying the name of the artrist by memory and putting animation to the painting because some images were too heavy and they did not upload.
Fátima: Be part of the ISTE has many challenges, like not agreeing between each other. Another thing was that I did not know how to animate the paintings but my friends helped me.
Renata: We did not have any challenge or complication because everything that we had doubts we asked the miss or we helped each other working as a team, also to extend our information we asked Yunuen for help and time, Yunuen is a Mexican 🇲🇽 painter recognized for her works of art based on augmented reality we asked things and he was super cool.
what we learned ?
Lucía:I learned to work as a time in a respectful way , that is , respecting the opinions of others, accepting all kinds of critcism, etc. I also learned to organize my things, my times,my work to have everything in order , and finally to have self-control,that is , if it is a serious moment to work seriously and adequatly.
Carmina: I learned how to identify how is the artist of each painting according to the mathematicals objects like squares, lines, angles, geometrical shapes and many more.
Fátima: I learned that math is everywhere, we also learn how to identify the artists using their paintings and math, I learn to use AR, and most importantly I learn to work in teams and to respect the opinions of others.
Renata: I learned a lot from working as a team and I realized that mathematics always surround us, I knew what it was an algorithgm that is virtual and augmented reality and that our mind works like a machine without us knowing how to analize things.
conclusions
Lucía: In conclusion , I define being part of ISTE in a few words , as being commited to achieving something, having the attitude to achive it and the mind to believe it.
Carmina: In conclusion, the mathematics are everywhere and thanks to them we can identify many things like colors, shapes, persone, etc, we can learn things in different ways and making proyects you do not only have fun but you learn and have many different experiences.
Fátima: In conclusion, mathematics are everywhere. This project help me to learn to work in teams and also to use and app call EYE JACK. I feel that you can learn a lot from this project, from art and mathematics.
Renata: In conclusion, mathematics is always around us and our mind can works without us knowing what is doing.
