Hi, I'm John Paul S. Clemente, a registered and licensed architect from Bacolod City, Philippines. A visual artist by heart and a designer by profession.
As a holder of a bachelors degree in Architecture, years of studying have embedded me with the fundamentals of this highest form of art. Having been an architectural apprentice to well-established architects in our locality have introduced me to the field, where I put pen to paper and even beyond. My adequate knowledge in Architecture— both as an art and a profession— is demonstrated by the works I have done so far along with all the related skills that are required to realize these conceptualizations.
In order to turn concepts into tangible outputs, the architectural process always culminates in the presentation of said ideas and their implementation, and with that comes the need to learn aspects of graphic design. Due to such prerequisites, I was able to assimilate additional skills such as visual communication, layout, typography, branding, and basic video editing, all of which are essential to visualize ideas in a comprehensible form.
Before venturing into the world of architecture, my inclinations were for the visual arts. As an arts program student in high school, I have dabbled with the traditional mediums through workshops and trainings; then eventually shifting to digital art— which admittedly was a helpful advantage when entering the architecture program. The particular thing about this skill is that, aside from it being my roots, it allows any form of work to be dynamized with an energy that is personal and unique.
