Three Flights were performed, the first and third flights were on POI one, and the second flight was on POI two. All three flights were major successes. After the grid search determined the two drop locations we were able to load 7 balls into the dropping mechanism and deploy the payload directly onto the targets. Team communication was on point allowing for quick efficient communication between the flight team. The black pearl used hand signals to communicate with the navigator while the pilot listened exclusively to the navigator. In total, we dropped twenty pieces of cargo onto the target.
Above is the automous mission plan the drone will complete to survey the area. It is set at a speed estmaited to be around 10 MPH and will orient itself around the waypoints using the onboard GPS.
POI One: Lat: 38.2711439692192 Lon: -76.6136004030704 ASL: 120.19
POI Two: Lat: 38.2714050843806 Lon: -76.6138122975826 ASL: 116.44
The minimum distance from target was measured to be 4 feet from the center of the target. The maximum displacement from the center of the target was 23 feet. The minimums and maximums are based on a combination of two seprate drop attempts.
One attempt was made with POI #2 where the maximum distance from the center of the target was 15 feet and the minimum distance being at 10 feet.
