The Aquatic Biodiversity Lab has been at Rajshahi since 2008, led by Professor ABM Mohsin. We have developed an international reputation for research on riverine and wetland biodiversity, including fishes and other aquatic macrofauna. We also actively pursue research in fisheries ecology, conservation biology, invasion ecology, and climate change, fisheries and livelihood . We collaborate widely with a variety of national and international research institutes and industry.

We welcome applications from highly motivated researchers.
Any national or international collaborations are also welcomed!

Research areas

We are highly interested in two of our major aquatic habitats in Bangladesh- the lower Ganges (major river in the country) and the Chalan Beel (largest wetland in Bangladesh). We regularly monitor of water qualities, its biodiversity and their relation to various threats...
