Parent and Tot is designed for infants to learn and enjoy the water with a parent. Through structured in-water interaction between parent and child, we stress the importance of play in developing water-positive attitudes and skills. Parent and Tot is broken down into three levels; Parent and Tot 1 (4-12 months), Parent and Tot 2 (12-24 months old) and Parent and Tot 3 (2-3 years old). If the parent does no feel like going swimming, no worries! We can help make your child feel comfortable and safe in the water without you needing to come in. It's all your preference! The Preschool program allows for children to of ages 3-5 years old to build safety skills and comfortability in the water. In our basic aquatic progressions we work to ensure swimmers are having fun while acquiring and developing a foundation of water skills. This program is broken down into Preschool 1, Preschool 2, Preschool 3, Preschool 4 and Preschool 5. Click HERE to learn more about Preschool Levels.
The Swimmer progressions accommodate children 5 years and older or students who have completed the preschool levels. This includes absolute beginners as well as swimmers who want to build on the basics. We stress lots of in-water practice to develop solid swimming strokes and skills. The swimmer levels are broken up into Swimmer 1, Swimmer 2, Swimmer 3, Swimmer 4, Swimmer 5, Swimmer 6, Swimmer 7/Rookie Patrol, Swimmer 8/Ranger Patrol, Swimmer 9/Star patrol.
Swimmer 1-6 focuses more on the basics. You will be developing your stroke skills as well as entries and exits. Click HERE to learn more about Swimmer 1-6. Swimmer 7-9, is the on-ramp to lifeguarding. You will continue to develop your swim strokes while gaining the skill foundation that prepares you for success in the Society's Bronze medal awards.
