This Privacy Policy explains how Francis Francisco ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the AQ SystemsQuest mobile application and its associated iMessage extension (together, the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Who We Are
AQ SystemsQuest is a pixel-art golf game for general audiences. We are committed to keeping the information we collect to the minimum needed to run the game.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide gameplay, save your progress, and operate leaderboards. Specifically:
Sign-in identifier: The App uses Sign in with Apple as the only way to access it. Apple provides us with a unique account identifier for your account. If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email" option, we do not receive your real email address. We do not collect your name or email address through the App.
Player handle: A username (handle) you choose, which is shown on leaderboards.
Gameplay data: Information generated as you play, such as scores, points, hole-in-one ("ace") counts, career totals, weekly totals, leaderboard rank, the character you select, in-game attempt results, and related timestamps and game counters (for example, daily-swing and bag counts).
We do NOT collect your name, email address (unless you choose to share it via Apple), phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or device advertising identifiers. We do not use analytics or advertising services, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
How We Use Information
To create and maintain your player account.
To save your game progress and career statistics.
To operate daily and weekly leaderboards, which display your chosen handle and your scores.
To run head-to-head matches, including challenges sent between players through the iMessage extension.
To operate, maintain, and improve the App.
The iMessage Extension
The App includes an iMessage extension that lets you send and play "Range Rush" challenges with people you message. When you send a challenge or a result, the App includes game data (such as match settings and scores) inside the message so the other player's device can display the game and the outcome. These messages are sent through Apple's Messages service and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store the contents of your conversations.
How Information Is Stored and Shared
Your account and gameplay data are stored using Supabase, a third-party hosting provider that stores this data on our behalf. Sign-in is provided by Apple.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing. Leaderboards display your chosen handle and scores to other players; please choose a handle you are comfortable showing publicly. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or ourselves.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below. We will delete your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
