An ICMP satellite conference
26th-28th of June 2024, York
We are pleased to announce the 8th AQFTUK meeting, which will take place from the 26th till the 28th of June 2024 in York, United Kingdom, and is a satellite conference for the International Congress on Mathematical Physics 2024.
We will meet in King's Manor, a historic location in the city centre of York, for a three day conference on algebraic quantum field theory and related topics.
These topics inculde, but are not limited to:
Operator algebraic techniques in quantum field theory and quantum information,
Quantum fields on curved spacetimes and semi-classical gravity,
AQFT on backgrounds with boundaries and corners,
Homological and higher category theoretical techniques in quantum field theory,
Relativistic quantum measurement theory and quantum reference frames.
Registration is now closed.
Registration deadline: May 15th 2024
Limited financial support is available to cover travel costs of UK based PhD students and early career researchers, the registration deadline for this has passed.

Our meeting will take place in the Huntingdon Room (K/122) at King's Manor
University of York, Exhibition Square, Zone 0, York, YO1 7EP
Go through the main entrance/porter's lodge and through the first courtyard into the archway. Take the doors on the right and the stairs to the 1st floor. The room is at the top, through K/123.

Shambles market: Food court at a touristy location. Food quality varies between different stands

The Market Cat: Overlooks the shambles market, quite large, but only does pizza
Brew York: Brewery and taproom which also does (a British take on) Asian food. Quite spacious and also has a large outdoor area
The Hop: Large pub that does decent pizza
Spark: Open air food court, loads of different options for food available, if a bit pricey
