PAST EVENTS

On the 5th of July 2022, over 60 students across Accounting, Finance and Banking courses participated in the financial literacy workshop organized by the UOB Bank, which was the first physical event conducted by AFC at the campus. The financial literacy program anchored the three core pillars of financial education. From managing personal funds to investments, the speakers have provided the students with the knowledge and understanding of how to make sound financial decisions in everyday life.

On March 30, 2022, the Accounting & Finance Club hosted its primary event of the year, an online webinar on a thriving area within Forensic Accounting. 

Mr Raymon Ram, the founder of Graymatter Forensic Advisory Sdn Bhd, was the guest speaker in this session moderated by Ms Meera Eeswaran, a Senior Lecturer at Asia Pacific University and Dawood, a student representative from AFC. The thought-provoking discussion delves into emerging technologies such as Blockchain Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning on preventive and detective techniques, incorporating data analytics in eradicating financial crime, and how organizations are leveraging these technologies moving forward.
