aptiGROWTH Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026 · Applies to the Android app “aptiGROWTH”, formerly “aptiGO” (package com.aptigo.app)
The short version. aptiGROWTH is a training app, not a data business. Your profile name, answers, scores and progress are stored on your device and are never sent to us. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no ads. Two things involve data leaving your device. First, purchases: after three free drill sessions, aptiGROWTH is sold by subscription through Google Play; Google takes the payment, and RevenueCat, a service we use, keeps the record of your purchase under an anonymous identifier (section 4). Second, reports: if you choose to report a faulty question, that report goes to the developer (section 3). Reminders, if you turn them on, are scheduled on your phone and send nothing anywhere (section 5).
1. Who we are
aptiGROWTH is developed and published by an individual developer (contact details at the end of this page). This policy explains what data the app touches, where that data lives, and what say you have over it.
2. Data that stays on your device
The app stores the following on your device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else:
The profile name you choose (a nickname — it need not resemble your real name).
Your answers to the setup questions (what the test is for, which test, the day you want to be ready by, what feels hardest) and the plan made from them.
Your training activity: practice sessions, answers, timings, scores, assessment results, and the app’s record of which questions you have already seen.
How many of your three free drill sessions you have used, and the age band you gave on the price screen (18 or over, or 16 or 17).
The app’s last confirmed answer from the store about your subscription, so the app can open offline.
Restore points the app keeps so that a profile reset can be undone.
Your preferences: theme, text size, timer, reminders and similar settings.
All of this is stored on your device, and deleting it is in your hands (see section 7). If Android backup is turned on for your phone, Android may also keep a backup copy of the app’s data in your own Google account (end-to-end encrypted on Android 9 and later) and restore it if you reinstall. We never receive or see that copy.
3. What we receive: only the reports you choose to send
aptiGROWTH has no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics and no crash-reporting service. The one thing the developer receives from the app is a report about a faulty question, and only when you choose to send one. Each question has a report button; if you tap it and then send the report, the app sends:
which question it was: its identifier and its first 120 characters;
the reason you picked, if any;
any note you typed, exactly as you typed it (up to 500 characters — please don’t put personal details in it);
which part of the app you sent it from, and whether the question was then left out of your results;
the app version and the time you sent it;
a random identifier the app creates on your device the first time you send a report. It is not your name, your email or any advertising identifier, and it is not linked to your profile or to your purchases. It is used only to tell one install’s reports apart and to limit how many one install can send in a day.
A report never includes your profile name, answers, scores or progress. The app tells you this on the report screen before anything is sent. A report made without a connection waits on your device and is sent when you are next online.
Reports travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to a Google Apps Script service run by the developer, which stores each one in a private Google Sheet that only the developer can open. Google hosts this on the developer’s behalf. The developer also receives a daily email saying how many new reports have arrived; that email does not contain the reports themselves. Reports are used only to find and fix faulty questions, and are never sold or shared. They are kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically. If you never send a report, the developer receives nothing from the app.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
aptiGROWTH is free to download, and you can look round the whole app and do three full drill sessions without paying. After that it needs a subscription (monthly or annual) bought through Google Play.
Google Play sells the subscription and takes the payment. Your payment details go to Google, never to us. Google’s handling of them is described in the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play terms.
RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) is a service we use to check and record subscriptions. When the app starts or you buy or restore a subscription, the app talks to RevenueCat over an encrypted connection. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier it creates for this install of the app (not your name, your email or your Google account), your purchase record from Google Play (which plan, when it was bought, when it renews or ends, and its store transaction identifier), and the technical details needed to check it, such as the app version and your device’s operating system. Like any internet service, it also receives your device’s IP address when the app contacts it. RevenueCat processes this on our behalf, to confirm your subscription and to show us overall subscription figures; it is not used for advertising. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
The developer can see, in RevenueCat, the purchase records described above under their anonymous identifiers. The developer cannot see your name, your email, your Google account or your payment details.
Cancelling and refunds. You can cancel anytime in Google Play; you keep access to the end of the period you’ve paid for. We don’t refund a period that has started, except where the law says we must. Google handles refund requests made within its own refund window.
5. Reminders (optional)
If you choose to turn them on, aptiGROWTH schedules notifications on your phone: a daily practice reminder, and reminders before your subscription renews. They are created and delivered by your phone; nothing about them is sent to us or to anyone else. Android asks for your permission first, and you can turn them off at any time in the app’s Preferences or in Android’s settings.
6. Age
aptiGROWTH is for people aged 16 and over who are preparing for timed aptitude tests, and it is not directed at children. The price screen asks whether you are 18 or over, or 16 or 17; buyers aged 16 or 17 need a parent or guardian to agree and pay, and the app asks them to confirm that before a purchase can start. That answer is kept on your device only.
7. Deleting your data
In the app: each profile can be reset (with or without its record of seen questions) from the app’s own reset options, and restore points can be discarded.
On your device: uninstalling aptiGROWTH deletes the local database and every preference from the device, including any reports still waiting to be sent. If Android backup is on, a backup copy may remain in your Google account until you turn backup off or delete it (in Android’s Settings, under Backup).
Your subscription: uninstalling does not cancel it; cancel it in Google Play.
Reports you sent: uninstalling does not remove reports already sent. They are deleted automatically 12 months after they arrive. To have them deleted sooner, email savvas.cs@gmail.com with roughly when you sent them and which question it was or what you wrote, and the matching reports will be deleted.
Purchase records: to have the record RevenueCat holds for your install deleted, email the same address with roughly when you bought and which plan; we will delete it in RevenueCat. Google keeps its own record of the payment under its own policy.
8. Security
Your answers, scores and progress stay on your device, protected by its lock screen and Android’s app sandboxing. Reports you choose to send and the app’s contact with RevenueCat and Google Play travel over encrypted (TLS/HTTPS) connections. Reports can be read only through the developer’s Google account.
9. Changes to this policy
If aptiGROWTH’s actual data practices ever change, this page will be updated before the change ships, and the “Last updated” date above will move.
