About me

I grew up in Friendswood, Texas. I went to undergrad at Concordia University Texas in Austin. After graduating with two bachelors in Biology and Secondary Science Education, I taught my first full year in Bastrop as a 7th grade Science teacher. To be closer to home in South Austin, I accepted a position teaching high school science - mainly PreAP Chemistry, at Crockett in Austin ISD. I also worked night school teaching Biology at Austin Can Academy concurrently. In 2018 I had my first son, Benjamin. Since Ben's birth I stayed home as mom. Meanwhile, my husband Andrew and I bought a home here in Eagle Springs in 2018 to be near our families. We have since had our second son, Samuel, and are happy local residents. After three years of being a stay at home mom, I joined AHS in January 2021 and took over AP Chemistry. While I am not teaching, dealing with our four pets, raising my boys, and gardening - I am in pursuit of my MS in Biological Sciences at Texas A&M University Commerce. A doctorate is in my future. I also help my husband with the accounting aspect of his small business. I love my Atascocita High School Eagle Family and look forward to meeting/teaching all of my students! Go Eagles!
